CREED Acqua Fiorentina: leave a comment to be put in a drawing for a free bottle

Creed’s newest fragrance called Acqua Fiorentina was created by Olivier and Erwin Creed, a father son collaboration. Acqua Fiorentina is meant to portray a fruit orchard at dawn in Tuscany.

“A Spray of Hope” is the informal tagline the company is using for this juice because a portion of it’s proceeds will be donated to National Breast Cancer Coalition Fund.

Acqua Fiorentina is a perfect summer “eau” to me. It’s sheer, refreshing and joyous. I’ll list the notes below but what I smell is a jammy plum, followed by a delicate rose and cocoa powder heart with a cedar/pepper drydown. It’s a fruity floral to be sure, but it’s not too sweet, it’s just right.

Acqua Fiorentina was released to the UK in June and will be available to the US market in October.

Notes are listed as: greengage plum, Renaissance roses, bergamot orange and Calabrian lemon, finishing with base notes of cedarwood and sandalwood – all from the orchards and gardens of Florence.

Leave a comment and we’ll draw one lucky person this Saturday, August 1st. (United States and International, we're equal opportunity at I Smell Therefore I Am :-)

  1. Dear Abigail,

I meant to write the other day when you you reviewed Creed Tuberose. You are one of the few blogs who actually will give some props to Creed, and i like that. Most blogs seem to dismiss the whole line and it just seem kind of snobby. Thanks for being more open and please enter me in the drawing for the Acqua Florentina.

  2. Hello!
for my birthday a few days ago i bought a perfume - yes i deserve it :P
Torn between LOVE IN BLACK de Creed & FEMINITE DU BOIS I feared the former boldness ... and choose the latter scented sculpture. I do not regret my choice, but... i love cedar and fruits i am intrigued :)
please enter me in your drawing for Acqua Florentina. - V

  3. i have always admired Spring Flower, but embarrassingly enough, the majority of my Creeds are samples/decanted samples(i am a single mom&baby needs are priority!). I am anxious to smell this cute creation, love the tagline....so many of us are in search of "hope".

  4. Wow, I think it's so awesome that they're doing a charity tie-in with this! Nice to see in this age of silly perfume prices that someone out there has a bit of compassion in them. And a very generous giveaway, too, thank you!

  6. I've always had an interest in perfume so I was thrilled when I found your blog. In a few short months, I've become addicted. Alas, like all habits, this one can be challenging to one's wallet. Please enter me in your drawing - I hate to think there's a perfume out there that I've missed.

  7. This is amazingly generous of you. I have fallen in love with another scent of theirs and am sure that with more testing from them I can find another one to love. With two kids and a husband in graduate school, it's hard to indulge in such pretty things. It's amazing how a scent can pick you up and lift your spirits. This certainly sounds like one that may do it. =)

  12. I've been on a three-year "no-buy" and couldn't resist entering as well. Cocoa in a fruity floral? Love subtle gourmand notes (Tocade, Theorema). BTW, thanks for showing some love to dear Eau de Givenchy earier this week...I used to have a yellow Ford Escort named Bess!

  13. Oh yes, I'd definitely love to be in the draw. Something about the way you described it made me think of a similarity between this and PdN "Balkis Light"... which I've never tried but have heard is wonderful (I've only tried the heavier original). Jammy and rosy, cocoa instead of coffee... maybe.

    Good luck to everyone!

Creeds work very well on me. I own several including Love in White, 2000 Fleurs, Jasmin Imperatrice Eugenie, and my favorite Angelique Encens. I would love to have a chance to win the Acqua Fiorentina.

    Thanks.

  21. This is the first Creed that sounds like it will really, really work for me. I live in a very small town, so it's a loooong trip to find a counter where I can even sniff it. Would looooove to win, of course. :)

  23. Hi,

I'd love to be entered into the drawing. I haven't tried many Creed fragrances, but I think that I need to brave the frosty SAs at NM and do some spritzing.

    Thanks!

  24. well, the only new (post 1990s) Creeds that I've liked are the feminines, so I'll be giving this a whirl.
I suspect they'll do quite well with this one!

  28. It sounds really pretty, and I do like the idea of some profits going to charity. Kudos to Creed for that.

I'm still hunting for my Tuberose Indiana sample - I think I may have given it away last year! Drat my generosity.... ;-)

  29. I have not had much experience with Creed, not commonly available for sniffing in Vancouver, and been a bit scared off after LT's slamming of Love in White. This eau sounds lovely. I wonder why they are launching a summery sounding perfume in the Northern Hemisphere fall?

  30. Mmmmm. Plums. I don't care if it's a fruity floral: I love the scent of plums. I have definitely got to smell this one.

  31. I really like some Creeds - VIW, Love in Black, Spring Flowers.... to name a few. I would love to try this one. It sounds perfect for summer, especially a hot humid day like today. Please enter me in the drawing.

  37. Abigail/Brian -

Please include me in the drawing.

I'll be doing some sniffing around the Creed counter this weekend - I wonder if they will have the scent available as a tester since it won't be released until Sept????

    Thanks for the opportunity,

    Marko

  41. Acqua Fiorentina's notes look quite interesting -- as the earlier poster Violaine said, it sounds reminiscent of some of Serge Lutens cedar and fruit compositions, which work well on me. I've been stalking the blogs looking for reviews of this, and your review has hit the right note for me. I definitely need to try this one!

  42. "sheer, refreshing, and joyous"

Now I guess I won't be able to breeze on past the Creed counter anymore....

  43. This sounds like the perfect scent for summer delights. I'd like to be in the running for the giveaway-thank you!

  44. Wow, Abigail! What a great offer. Thanks! I am not familiar with Creed fragrances - have only sniffed Love in Black on a recent trip to Neiman's in Boston. LT in PTG doesn't seem to care for Creed too much, so I suppose I've pretty much written them off (too expensive for mediocre fragrances). But I've recently read a few really positive reviews on Acqua Fiorentina, so now I'm curious! Please include me in the draw. :-)

  45. Wow...I'm actually kind of speechles...except to say yes, please, include me in the draw!

  55. I wanted to get Love in White for my gilfriend but after getting a hint of Acqua Fiorentina, my choice is simple.

The thing I love the most about Creed fragrances is the dry down. I use Erolfa and the dry down drives my girl crazy even overnight. It lingers...
